Ryugaku Academy 2024 Spring
The Short Study Abroad Program has been completed
The Nagoya University's Short Study Abroad Program "Ryugaku Academy" was held in the
spring for the first time this year.
Last week, fifteen Nagoya University students returned to Japan after completing the 3-
week program.
Although their stay was shorter than the 5-week summer program, they enjoyed intensive
ESL classes, participation in extracurricular activities, and interaction with students of the
Japan Club at NC State University.
Students were inspired by lectures by Consul General Maeda of the Consulate General of
Japan in Atlanta and Meidai alumni. It was a good opportunity for them to rethink their own
careers, as well as to increase their interest in long-term study abroad.
The students also enjoyed the opportunity to make invaluable friendships not only with other
Meidai students but also with students from NC State University.
We would like to thank everyone involved in this program.
