Therapeutics Roundtable
A Great Success!
Nagoya University (NU) and its technology transfer office in North Carolina, Technology Partnership of Nagoya University (NU Tech), hosted their 3rd annual Technology Roundtable in cooperation with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), North Carolina State University (NCSU) and Wake Forest University (WFU). This year’s event was held at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center in Research Triangle Park on October 4th and featured researchers from NU, UNC, NCSU and WFU giving in- depth presentations of five of their latest cutting-edge research innovations in the fields of diagnostics and molecular therapeutics. There were additional speakers from the technology transfer offices of NU, UNC, NCSU and WFU, and a keynote speech by Dr. Charles Nicolette, Chief Scientific Officer of Argos Therapeutics, Inc. The Roundtable was attended by more than 60 local business professionals and researchers from dozens of North Carolina life science companies and higher educational institutions. The Roundtable was a great success and helped attendees learn more about some exciting new research and developments in diagnostics and molecular therapeutics. Participants also enjoyed ample opportunities to network and strengthen connections between industry and academia, in the hope that such events could facilitate collaboration that would ultimately result in greater healthcare for everyone.
