Ryugaku Academy 2026 Spring
Students Successfully Complete the Five-Week Program and Return to Japan
March 14, 2026

Although there were a few students whose health raised some concern during the final week, all participants successfully completed the program, including their final presentations, and safely returned to Japan.
At the end of the five-week program, students shared a variety of reflections. While some expressed relief at being able to return home to Japan, others said that they wished they could have stayed longer. Some students also shared that the experience had further strengthened their motivation to participate in an exchange program in the future, which was very encouraging and closely aligned with the goals of the program.
Over the course of the five weeks, the students spent a meaningful and fulfilling time in the program and gained valuable experiences that will support them in their future endeavors. In this sense, the program can be considered a great success.
This program allows students to deepen their learning from multiple perspectives, including daily life, academics, and cultural experiences. In addition, NC State University offers a welcoming environment and a vibrant student community, and the program receives positive feedback from participants every year.
We will continue working to further enhance the program in the years to come.
Finally, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the members of GTI for coordinating the program and to the members of the Japan Club for their warm support of the students throughout their stay.
