Nagoya University hosts North Carolina agricultural trade mission, highlighting international partnership

On April 4, Nagoya University hosted a North Carolina agricultural trade mission at Toyoda Auditorium. The delegation visited Japan to learn more about the Japanese market and explore future collaboration opportunities.
Among the delegation was Dr. Steven A. Lommel, Associate Dean and Director of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State University. Dr. Lommel praised the partnership with Nagoya University as "with certainty" the most successful among NC State's international collaborations, crediting the strong commitment from both institutions.
The visit also highlighted the long-standing academic ties between Nagoya University and NC State University. From 2019 to 2023, 38 faculty members and 207 students from Nagoya University participated in exchange programs with NC State.
Looking ahead, President Sugiyama will visit NC State this fall to further strengthen this valuable partnership.
