Nagoya University and UNC-Chapel Hill Continue Successful Cybersecurity Exchange Program

Nagoya University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) held their second Cybersecurity Exchange Program, supported by the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo. Launched in 2023 to promote women in cybersecurity and strengthen Japan–U.S. ties, the program has received high praise and is set to continue next year.
In February, seven Nagoya University students visited UNC-CH, and in May, seven UNC-CH students joined a five-day program in Nagoya. Nagoya students warmly supported their guests with daily life, including transportation, meals, and shopping.
The program featured workshops and lectures by experts including Professor Shimada, U.S. Consulate Principal Officer Anna Wang, NTT’s Mihoko Matsubara, and Nagoya alumna Momoko Aoyama from Hitachi Solutions.
Students reported gaining valuable knowledge and described the experience as highly meaningful.
