High School Students from North Carolina Visit Nagoya University

Nagoya University recently welcomed eight high school students from the state of North Carolina as part of the International Science Challenge, a program jointly organized by the North Carolina Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education Center (SMT Center) and the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center.

During their stay, the students experienced a full and enriching program. They paid a courtesy visit to the President of Nagoya University and participated in actual university lectures. They also visited the Nagoya University Affiliated Senior High School, where they experienced Japanese school life firsthand.

The program concluded with student presentations of their research as part of the International Science Challenge. Joining them were students from Japan's Super Science High Schools (SSH), who had presented their work in North Carolina in March. The event offered a valuable platform for students from both countries to exchange ideas and learn from each other's research across a variety of scientific fields.

For the visiting students, the program was a meaningful opportunity to engage directly with different languages and cultures, making for a truly memorable and impactful experience.
