Dr. Kuide ("Kwey-duh") Qin, is an experienced leader in agricultural innovation, currently serving as the Chief Science Officer at Verdesian Life Sciences, headquartered in Cary, North Carolina. In this role, Dr. Qin oversees the development of breakthrough plant nutrient use efficiency technologies, including novel biofertilizers, biologicals, and biostimulants. His work is at the forefront of sustainable agriculture, driving solutions that enhance crop productivity while reducing environmental impact. An interdisciplinary scientist, Dr. Qin holds a PhD in colloid and surface chemistry from the University of Florida, with further training in soil science and agricultural business management from NC State University. With over 20 years' experience, he has led scientific roles at Dow AgroSciences and Bayer Crop Science before joining Verdesian. Actively collaborating with academic, industry, and government sectors, Dr. Qin’s effort bridges the gap between cutting-edge research and practical applications, ensuring that scientific advancements translate into tangible benefits for growers around the globe.
